Abstract 2697 Genetic Code Expansion technology for all who want to reveal new biology

Genetic Code Expansion (GCE) is a powerful tool with vast implications for basic research and the development of new therapeutics. The movement of these tools into the mainstream is being spurred by the world's first GCE Research Center, GCE4All, which is optimizing and extending GCE technologies and making these powerful tools widely available to enable scientific breakthroughs worldwide. Discussed here will be ready-to-use tools for encoding fluorescent probes, fluorinated probes, post-translational modifications, and click-chemistry groups that allow for efficient and highly specific in-cell bioorthogonal ligations to label and track proteins.
