Abstract 1833 Resonance Raman spectroscopy of 13C isotope-enriched Fucoxanthin-Chlorophyll a/c-binding proteins (FCPs) in intact membranes of the Marine Diatom Fragilariopsis sp
Resonance Raman spectroscopy combined with FTIR were employed to investigate the 13C-enriched light-harvesting Fucoxanthin-Chlorophyll a/c-binding proteins (FCPs) in intact thylakoid membranes of the Marine Diatom Fragilariopsis sp at physiological room temperature conditions. Two fractions from the solubilized thylakoid membranes were investigated. The first fraction contains photolabile Chlorophyll a/c and stable Fucoxanthin(Fx)/Deodioxanthin (Dd) pigments and the second, stable FCPs. All the 13C-sensitive Raman and amide I/II FTIR bands have been identified.
