Abstract 1665 Multitasking functions of the IRT1 plant metal transporter
Trypsin. The differential proteomic profiles were observed in tandem mass spectrometry analysis using ESI-TOF LC/MS/ MS and the De Novo protein sequencing and database search by a bioinformatic analysis software, PeakStudio-X, which shed interesting protein profiles on Moringa seeds. The SwissProt search by Viridiplantae database at FDR 1% revealed the four gel filtration peaks P1, P2, P3, and P4 identified 10, 23, 13, and 12 top proteins, respectively, while the crude sample identified 28 top proteins.Among these proteins, crude had 5 unique proteins while P2 had 1 unique protein non-overlapping with any other fractions. Some proteins with high sequence coverage percentages include Flocculent-active protein, Chitin-Binding Protein, and Melate Dehydrogenase. One of the five unique proteins in the crude sample is Non-specific Lipid-transfer Protein.
