Abstract 1526 Mechanisms of isoform-specific regulation of adenylyl cyclase type 5 by Gαi
insight into the molecular pathomechanism for DYT-PPKRA and underscore the importance of eIF2a phosphorylation for the balance between cellular adaptation and apoptosis after ER stress.Targeting the PACT-PKR interaction, modulating eIF2a phosphorylation, or inhibiting downstream proapoptotic pathways could offer novel therapeutic avenues to mitigate the neurodegenerative consequences of chronic ISR activation in DYT-PRKRA patients.
