Abstract 1775 Decoding HNOX-Mediated Biofilm Formation in Paracoccus denitrificans: Integrating Targeted and Untargeted Metabolomics with Proteomics
Paracoccus denitrificans is an extensively studied model organism due to its metabolic flexibility, which includes denitrification, respiratory routes, and polyhydroxyalkanoate synthesis. The ability to form biofilms has significant implications for bioremediation, synthetic chemistry, and wastewater treatment applications. The transitions in several bacterial species depend on heme nitric oxide/oxygen-binding (H-NOX) proteins; nevertheless, their signaling mechanisms and pathways have yet to be elucidated.
