Abstract 2211 A phage display approach for optimizing RNA modification-binding antibodies to advance epitranscriptomics research
RNA modifications are prevalent in biology and shown to have roles in modulating transcription, RNA processing, nuclear export, and translation. Determining the identity and sites of these modifications will further our understanding of the biological roles of RNA modifications. While a variety of methods can identify specific RNA modification sites, we still lack methods to identify all 170+ modifications in the context of RNA. Multiple antibody-based techniques exist to characterize RNA modifications by enriching an RNA pool for RNAs containing a specific modification and sequencing.
