Abstract 1118 A logistic regression model predicts oscillation regimes in the MinDE reaction diffusion system
A critical characteristic of life is its ability to organize itself in space and time. At the single-cell level, proteins and metabolites undergo constant dynamic organization to facilitate even the simplest processes. The bacterial MinDE proteins are a minimal reaction-diffusion system that produce oscillating waves when transformed into eukaryotic cells. Previous work has used MinDE as a platform for synthetic spatiotemporal circuit design. However, these circuits are restricted by the expression regimes that allow oscillation.
