Abstract 2354 Specific G peptide interactions in Prostaglandin E2 G-Protein Coupled Receptors
Prostaglandins are bioactive signaling molecules that employ their effects through binding with specific GPCRs. Prostaglandin binding causes specific conformational changes, leading to receptor activation, which subsequently activates specific Gα-protein subunits (Gs, Gi and Gq). Despite their importance, the allosteric networks that lead to specific G protein coupling to EP (1-4) receptors remains unknown. Computational studies have previously suggested key differences in the activation methods of EP 1-3.
