Abstract 2794 Alphafold2 and Experimental Biophysics: A Synergistic Approach to Elucidating the Interactions of CDK2 with Tumor-Suppressors CDK2AP1 and CDK2AP2
Recent progress in deep learning methods for protein structure calculation, such as AlphaFold 2 (AF2), has enabled reliable predictions of both monomeric and multimeric proteins. The ability to computationally predict key interactions involved in cellular mechanisms driving diseases such as cancer prior to experimental validation, can provide valuable insights. The coordinates of two tumor-suppressing homodimeric complexes of interest-CDK2AP1 (cyclin dependent kinase associated protein 1) and CDK2AP2 (cyclin dependent kinase associated protein 2)-were previously determined for the 60 C-terminal ordered residues, through solution NMR.
