Abstract 1736 Structural Insights of Homologous PhyR Interaction Complexes in a General Stress Response (GSR) Pathway
In Alphaproteobacteria, such as Rubellimicrobium thermophilum, a protein known as PhyR is involved in the general stress response (GSR) as a method of protection. PhyR proteins are the downstream signaling partners to sensor histidine kinases and are involved in bacterial response to environmental stressors. Through the use of the structural and biochemical techniques the aim is to study the interactions between the PhyR homologs PhyR and PhyR' as well as other proteins involved in the R. thermophilum GSR network.
