Abstract 2751 Understanding the Process of Hydrogen Production in Sonoma County, California
Cedars, located along Northern California's coast, is a significant formation of peridotite because of its potential to generate hydrogen gas through serpentinization, which is important for geochemical and geobiological research. However, there is very little understanding of the microbial and biochemical processes involved in the generation of H2 gas and the induced (micro)-seismic activity associated with it. Here, water samples along Austin Creek in Sonoma County were analyzed to enhance the understanding of the H2 production process.
