Abstract 2076 Antagonist-induced changes in coregulator preference of the nuclear receptor, liver receptor homolog-1
Approximately 240,000 new cases of breast cancer are diagnosed in the US every year. Of these cases, triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) accounts for 10-15% of all breast cancers. Common pharmacological drug targets estrogen receptor-a, progesterone receptor, and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) are not expressed in TNBC and therefore, non-invasive treatment options are limited. The nuclear receptor, liver receptor homolog-1 (LRH-1) is a ligand-regulated transcription factor that regulates the expression of genes involved in TNBC proliferation and invasion.
