Abstract 2433 Uncovering Genetic Regulation Pathways Associated with Metabolic Traits in Mice
The primary goal of our study is to uncover novel associations between natural genetic variation in eight inbred mouse strains and metabolic traits. Overexpression and knockout studies in cell lines will confirm causative genetic associations and provide insight into how these candidate genes regulate metabolic pathways in the liver. We integrated transcriptomic, lipidomic, and metabolomic data collected from the livers from both sexes of eight genetically diverse mouse strains fed two extreme diets (high-carbohydrate/low-fat or high-fat/low-carbohydrate).
