Abstract 2570 Role of Endothelial PGC1α in Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease
Liver sinusoidal endothelial cells (LSEC) play a key role in the initiation and progression of chronic liver diseases. Understanding the mechanisms governing the intercellular communication between LSECs and hepatocytes will help us understand the initiation and progression of hepatocyte dysfunction in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). PGC1α (peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma coactivator 1-alpha) is a transcriptional coactivator that regulates the genes involved in mitochondrial biogenesis and oxidative energy metabolism.
