Abstract 2515 The Effect of Epoxy Fatty Acid Metabolism on Mechanical Stress Induced Neurodegeneration and its Underlying Molecular Mechanisms
A Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is defined as an outcome of an energy force transferred to the head with the ability to interrupt the regular functioning of the brain. According to the most recent data, there were approximately 214,110 TBI-related hospitalizations reported in 2020, and 69,473 TBI-related deaths reported in 2021. Currently around 5 million people in the US suffer from long-term disabilities resulting from head injuries. Impairments caused by TBI happen in two phases, namely primary and secondary.
