The Virtual Teaching Folder and Its Impact on Educational Practice: Opinions of Early Childhood Education Teachers
This study examines teachers' perceptions of the Virtual Teaching Folder (VTF) and its impact on teaching practices within the Early Childhood Education program at a private university in Lima. Utilizing a non-experimental design, data were collected from 63 teachers via a 19-item Likert-scale questionnaire. The findings are organized into three dimensions: the structure of the VTF, its contribution to teaching performance, and the ease of creating and maintaining the VTF. Results show that 76% of teachers consistently find the VTF structure effective for achieving their teaching objectives, highlighting the importance of clear and accessible resource organization. Additionally, 78% of teachers reported that the VTF positively impacts their pedagogical practices by supporting planning, organization, and communication with students. The ease of use is also emphasized, with 76% of teachers finding the process of uploading and updating information straightforward. Despite these positive perceptions, the study has limitations, including its focus on a single institution, reliance on self-reported data, and absence of qualitative insights. Future research should involve comparative studies across various educational settings, longitudinal analyses, and mixed-method approaches to provide a deeper understanding of the VTF's impact. Furthermore, exploring the VTF's influence on student performance and seeking continuous feedback for improvement are recommended. In conclusion, the VTF significantly enhances teaching efficiency and effectiveness. Its successful integration into educational practices underscores the need for user-friendly, well-structured digital resources that meet the evolving demands of modern education. This study lays a foundation for understanding the VTF's role in improving educational practices and offers directions for future research and tool enhancement.
