Green Smart Community Model Analysis Based on Carbon Emission and Comfort Simulation: a Case Study of the “Courtyard-Style” Building Form

As one of the urban residential models, functionally mixed communities play a crucial role in the advancement of green smart communities, and exploring community architecture is of great significance for promoting green urban development. This study, based on actual survey cases, generates one of the standardized models under functionally mixed community-the“Courtyard-Style” Building Form-and explores the impact of building form parameters on carbon emissions and comfort. By utilizing parametric modeling to generate a surrogate model, climate parameters and building form parameters are input to simulate the comfort and carbon emissions of the“CourtyardStyle” building. Through iterative simulations of the universal model performance, the relationship between parameter variables and carbon emissions and comfort is revealed. The performance simulation analysis of the building model provides valuable insights for the design process of green smart communities in subtropical climate regions.
