Research on the Design of Children's Toilet Seats in the Third Bathroom Based on User Needs
In order to design a children's toilet suitable for the third bathroom, to meet the actual needs of children and improve their user experience, four research methods including user interview, Kano model, AHP analytic hierarchy process, and function behavior structure (F-B-S) model were comprehensively used to systematically analyze user needs and optimize design elements to ensure the comprehensive improvement of product functionality and user experience. Firstly, user interviews were conducted to obtain their needs and expectations for the children's toilet seat in the third bathroom, and the Kano model was used to classify user needs; Secondly, use the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to rank the importance of different design elements in order to clarify design priorities; Finally, the FBS model is applied to translate the requirements into specific design functions and structures, in order to derive the optimal design solution. The design practice guided by this method can maximize the solution to user needs, ensuring that the safety, hygiene, and other aspects of the third bathroom children's toilet are highly consistent with the user experience. It also provides a reference method and ideas for the design of similar products in the future.
