Study on the Non-Deformation Overlay of Complex Body Surfaces

Objective To improve the efficiency and quality of automobile design and manufacturing process, and to ensure that the body surface maintains a high degree of integrity and controllability during design, manufacture and use. Methods Firstly, the detailed geometric classification of the body spraying area was carried out to effectively distinguish the deployable surface and the non-deployable surface area. For the deployable surface, the direct two-dimensional to three-dimensional overlay method is used to ensure the correct mapping of the geometry and proportion of the pattern on the surface. Secondly, for the nonexpandable area, the LSCM algorithm is used to carry out minimal deformation processing to ensure the continuity of the pattern on the complex surface and the stability of the geometric shape, so as to avoid obvious deformation or stretching. Results The non-deformation overmapping strategy for complex body surfaces significantly improves the overdrawing accuracy of complex body surfaces. Conclusion The accurate and lowdeformation overlay under the curved surface of the complex body is successfully realized, which provides advanced technical support and design ideas for the personalized decoration of the body and the camouflage of special vehicles. The innovation of this methodology lies in its comprehensive consideration of surface characteristics, pattern deformation control and visual effect optimization, which is an important progress in the field of digital design and manufacturing.
