An Efficient and Effective Cloud Monitoring Architecture based on Data Visualization and Digital Twin Technology

Cloud computing is a key technology in contemporary information technology, constantly expanding its application across various domains. As an essential aspect in ensuring the quality of cloud computing services, cloud monitoring has attracted significant research attention. Despite advancements in monitoring technology, improving the interpretability of massive cloud monitoring data remains an ongoing challenge. In response, we introduce a novel cloud monitoring architecture that leverages data visualization and digital twin technology to improve operations and maintenance efficiency and support decision-making processes. Three key technical solutions are proposed: establishing an indicator system for cloud monitoring and its visualization mode, constructing a spatiotemporal model for monitoring data, and developing an interactive digital twin for the cloud platform. Following the architectural design, we develop a prototype system and integrate it with an authentic cloud platform. The effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed architecture are validated through user studies. This architecture can serve as a valuable technical reference for constructing visual monitoring systems in relevant domains.
