Novel Topology for Single-Input Triple Output Three-Level Buck Converter
This letter proposes a novel single-input triple-output (SITO) converter topology based on a 3-level buck converter (3-LBC) architecture. This converter uses two switches and two inductors to generate three output voltages, which improves power density and reduces the total number of components compared to conventional multiple-output systems. The two 12V outputs are independently regulated using feedback control, while the 24V output is inherently maintained by the 3-LBC structure. An asymmetric PWM control method based on up-down counting was applied to minimize voltage and current ripple. A hardware prototype was developed to verify the performance, and the maximum efficiency reached 93.9%. The experimental results showed that stable voltage regulation was achieved at all outputs, proving that this topology is effective for applications that require compact and efficient DC-DC conversion.
