Structure-guided engineering of benzaldehyde lyase for efficient synthesis of dihydroxyacetone and one-pot biosynthesis of 2-amino-1,3-propanediol
A novel formolase was discovered and engineered to efficiently catalyze the controllable transformation of formaldehyde into dihydroxyacetone, and a one-pot, two-step synthetic pathway was designed and implemented for the synthesis of serinol.
