Abstract 2889 The search continues: Targeting PRL3 through a high-throughput virtual screening campaign
Cancer remains one of the leading causes of death in the world. Literature indicates that a majority of cancer deaths are associated with metastasis. In some types of cancers, metastasis accounts for about 90% of deaths. Dysregulated signalling pathways and aberrant cellular phosphorylation has been associated with diseases like cancer and have been targeted through the development of kinase inhibitors. Recently, the prominent roles of phosphatases have also been uncovered and some are now considered bona fide and emerging targets in cancers.
