Abstract 1104 Identifying Native Redox Partner(s) for CYP168A1: A Cytochrome P450 from Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an opportunistic pathogen that is labeled a critical priority 1 risk by the WHO due to antibiotic resistance. An enzyme, CYP168A1, has expression patterns that correlate with the disease state of P. aeruginosa. Published research has shown that CYP168A1 can modify fatty acids, but little else is known about its importance to Pseudomonas. Additionally, these studies did not use native partner proteins of CYP168A1, which remain unknown. My research focuses on identifying these native partner proteins.
