Abstract 2047 Cinnamon extract effects on 3T3L1 fully differentiated cells on SIRT1 and FoxO1 activity and expression

Our objective in this study was to determine the effects of cinnamon extract on functionality of the FoxO1 and SIRT1 proteins in adipocytes. Our research was comprised of two studies, one that focused on the effects of Cinnamonium cassia aqueous extract on the expression and localization of FoxO1 in 3T3-L1 pre-adipocytes, and the second which focused on the effects of aqueous cinnamon extract on the activity of SIRT 1. The methods used in the two studies include monolayer culture methods, Western blot, model construction with docking, real time PCR and ELISA.
