Abstract 1936 Epigenetic regulation of atherogenic progression in experimental models of circadian desynchrony
Multiple transcriptional-translational feedback loops control circadian-clockwork and an altered circadian rhythm has been implicated in cardiovascular disorders (CVDs). Also, epigenetic changes have been implicated in CVDs but role of microRNA34a-5p (miR34a-5p) with elevated levels recorded in atherosclerosis. But scientific understanding on desynchrony of miR-Clock synergy in proatherogenic manifestations lack clarity. Hypothesis: miR34a-5p affects circadian clock genes and plays a role in pro-atherogenic changes in thoracic aorta of mice subjected to photoperiodic shifts induced chronodisruption.
