Mapa do turismo consciente: Jaguarão/RS
When one hears about tourism and the environment, one immediately refers to paradisiacal destinations, but behind this field we have something peculiar and comprehensive, the map of sustainable development. It is a set of actions that aim to allow a given space, functionality, meaning in its use, aiming at an improvement of the space and its surroundings, seeking a balance between the cartography of the city, economy, society and environment for the benefit of the collectivity. The landscape concretizes the cartography of the relationships between human beings and nature, as well as their lived space. At the same time that local residents work along this landscape, tourist activity is used as an attraction. Through this work, a case study focused on environmental and heritage analysis was developed. With this investigation it will be possible to perceive the importance of the action of urban planning. The present work proposes actions that transform the map of conscious tourism into a tourist product. The area covered by the compilation of the map comprises the Port Pier, the Landing Square and the Doutor Alcides Marques Square, which together make up a set of architectural and cultural attractions. Thus, the objective of the study is to analyze the possible relations between tourism and the environment in the central area of the municipality of Jaguarão/RS, on the border between Brazil and Uruguay, resulting in a tourist itinerary.
