Abstract 1027 Control of Nucleotide Metabolism and Cell Growth
Nucleotide metabolism is integral to cellular growth and function, providing essential precursors for nucleic acids, energy carriers, and signaling molecules. Our research investigates the dynamic interplay between growth signaling pathways and nucleotide synthesis, as well as the reciprocal influence of nucleotide levels on cellular metabolism and signal transduction. Nucleotides can be synthesized de novo or recycled through salvage pathways, and their availability is crucial for numerous cellular processes, including DNA and RNA synthesis, protein translation, and membrane production.
