Abstract 2562 A cellular biochemistry toolkit for studying chromatin factor function with CRISPR based technology
Multicellular organisms are composed of distinct cells with specific functions but have nearly identical genomic DNA sequences. In mammalian cells, cell type-specific gene expression programs in mammalian cells are in part regulated by epigenetic factors, such as DNA methylation and histone modifications, which decorate DNA and histone proteins to establish distinct gene expression profiles. Over 900 chromatin factor (CF) genes encode proteins that have critical roles in epigenome regulation and gene regulations in human cells.
