Abstract 2556 SPT6 Histone Chaperone Controls AP-1 Transcription Factor Activity to Maintain Cell Fate
Histone chaperones are a group of proteins with diverse functions that are primarily involved in the maintenance of the chromatin landscape during DNA templated processes. Accumulating evidence supports their role in cell fate maintenance; however, the underlying molecular mechanisms remain elusive. Among all histone chaperones, our lab discovered that the loss of the transcription-coupled histone chaperone SPT6 is sufficient to induce the differentiation of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells.
