Sobre a construção e disseminação de ignorâncias e o papel da mulher na sociedade a partir da biografia de Camille Claudel
The present study aimed to discuss the consequences of ignorance as an absence of knowledge and its impact on the life of the artist Camille Claudel (1864 – 1943). To analyze her biography, qualitative and bibliographical research was used. It was investigated the significant role that the intimate relationship with his master, the famous sculptor Auguste Rodin (1840 – 1917), played in the oblivion of Claudel's works, who died anonymously, confined in a psychiatric institution. This study reveals the social erasure of women, throughout history, who dared to transgress current standards, such as the artistic career of the French sculptor. Keywords: epistemologies of ignorance; feminism; women in art; Camille Claudel.
