Abstract 2578 Identifying Endogenous mRNA Targets of Inosine Monophosphate Dehydrogenase
Messenger RNA (mRNA) binding proteins are key regulators of the maturation, export, localization, translation, and decay of mRNA. Misfunction of mRNA binding proteins is associated with a broad range of disorders such as cancer and neurodegenerative disease. In recent years, proteomic studies have identified hundreds of novel mRNA binding proteins with known functions outside of mRNA regulation, connecting mRNA biology to pathways such as metabolism, ribosome biogenesis, and cell signaling. Inosine Monophosphate Dehydrogenase (IMPDH) is one such enzyme.
