Abstract 2188 Chemokine receptor CXCR4 regulates Neutrophil bacterial killing
Anastasia Castillo, Zijing Ye, Vadim Gaponenko, Jalees Rehman CXCR4 is a G-protein coupled chemokine receptor that is widely expressed in hematopoietic cells, including hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) and neutrophils. Its antagonist promotes the release of HSCs. Thus, it has been used in the donor hematopoietic engraftment. Although It has been extensively studied that CXCR4 regulates neutrophil trafficking by retaining neutrophils in the bone marrow. However, whether it regulates other neutrophil functions has not been defined.
