Abstract 1110 Identification of new fluorogenic chemical tools for studying human carboxylesterase 1 (CES1)
Human Carboxylesterase 1 (CES1) is a key enzyme involved in xenobiotic drug metabolism, responsible for catalyzing the hydrolysis of esters, amides, and thioesters making CES1 particularly important in drug metabolism research. However, despite the critical role of CES1, there are limited fluorogenic chemical tools to study CES1 activity in live cells. This project seeks to address this limitation by developing and validating fluorescein-based fluorogenic compounds as targeted chemical tools for monitoring CES1 activity in live cells.
