Abstract 2300 Dysregulation and function of Hippo pathway in cancer epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition
Although recent advancements in cancer treatment have improved outcomes, metastatic cancer still lacks effective treatment strategies and accounts for approximately 90% of cancer-related deaths in the U.S. Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) is considered to be a critical mechanism involved in cancer metastasis, as it confers epithelial cells with mesenchymal phenotypes and enhances cell migration and invasion. EMT also promotes drug resistance and induces stemness, posing significant challenges in cancer therapy.
