Abstract 2534 Stress Granules Stabilize the Transcriptome during Stress by Sequestering the CCR4-NOT Complex
Living cells respond to stress by safeguarding essential resources, like stabilizing transcripts. Although global poly(A) tail lengthening during stress has been observed, the mechanisms controlling this remain unclear. Stress granules, which form through multivalent interactions between polyadenylated transcripts and RNA-binding proteins, are implicated in post-transcriptional regulation, though their precise roles remain debated. Using quantitative BioID profiling, we found that the CCR4-NOT deadenylase complex dynamically associates with stress granules under stress conditions.
