Abstract 2377 Clickable small molecule-fluorophore development for bioimaging applications
Click chemistry has been used as a powerful tool for developing advanced cellular imaging technologies, enabling the investigation of specific biological pathways and the site-specific labeling of intracellular organelles via fluorescence microscopy. Effective imaging of organelles in biological systems requires stable imaging probes with key spectroscopic properties, including high signal-to-noise ratios, fast kinetics, and tunability. Although several commercially available antibodies and fluorophores exist, many fall short in critical aspects such as size, solubility, photostability, and Stokes shifts.
