Abstract 1748 Activation of the Integrated Stress Response during hypercapnia prevents alveolar type 2 cells differentiation and induce lung injury
SMN Tudor interactions with DMA ligands, improving some and reducing others. This surprising observation suggests that RNA may shield or promote binding to different DMA ligands. To further address the specificity, we are currently employing Bio-layer Interferometry (BLI) to determine the affinity of different Tudor domains for peptides containing methylated arginine and to investigate the role of other macromolecules (e.g., RNA) in mediating binding affinity within potentially heterogeneous condensates. We propose that the binding of numerous DMA-modified ligands to various Tudor domaincontaining proteins may determine patterns of liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS) in cells.(1) Courchaine, E.
