Abstract 2881 Investigating the Biochemical Functions of XAGE 1A and XAGE2
Cancer remains a critical health challenge worldwide due to its high mortality rates and limited long-term survival outcomes. Tumor-specific antigens (TSAs) have emerged as promising targets for cancer therapies by enabling selective elimination of cancer cells. Cancer-testis antigens (CTAs) are a type of tumor-specific antigens expressed primarily in both testes and various cancers. XAGE (X-linked antigen) genes were believed to be CTAs. This study aimed to investigate the biochemical roles of XAGE1A and XAGE2 in normal and cancerous cells.
