Abstract 2923 Investigating Acyl Fluorides as a Potential New Class of SHAPE reagents
The effectiveness of RNA-based therapies was illustrated by the success of the two mRNA vaccines developed to combat the SARS-CoV-2 virus during the recent pandemic. The urgency to develop an effective vaccine also called forth a renewed focus on elucidating 3-dimensional RNA structures and to explore the intricate relationship between RNA structure and function. Over the last few decades, development of new technologies has enabled structural biologists (and even non-structural biologists) to determine RNA structures with improved efficiency and accuracy.
