wl-8620-Love Actually? - Tales of Abduction and Seduction in the Courts of Law
This paper explores the complexities surrounding the cases of abduction, kidnapping and seduction, particularly within the context of inter-caste and inter-faith love. Analysing court judgments, it traces judicial interpretations of seduction and enticing, from their colonial origins to contemporary legal discourse. The study highlights the blurred lines between consent and coercion, to illuminate the devastating impact of societal norms and state interventions on autonomy and agency in matters of love.
