Dig Deep into High School English Reading Texts: Integrate Ideological and Political Elements and Reading Teaching in an Organic Manner

正如我们所知，阅读课作为高中英语主要课型之一，有着丰富的思政元素，能助力培养学生良好的道德品质及价值观，坚定文化自信，实现精神层面的不断富足。文章深入解读了课程思政的内涵及其重要意义，探索了思政元素融入高中英语课堂的显要价值。与此同时，结合相关理论，在实践中积极探索如何将英语学科知识与思政元素有机地融入教学全过程。以高中英语必修二Unit 2的一篇文章“Finding a Balance: My Tai Chi Experience”为例，参照英语学习活动观，从课前准备、课堂活动设计等方面着手，巧妙设计相关活动，使思政元素的融入达到潜移默化、滋养于无形的良好效果。As we all know, reading classes are one of the main types of high-school English classes, which are rich in ideological and political elements. They can cultivate students’ good moral qualities and correct values, strengthen their cultural confidence, and help them achieve continuous spiritual enrichment. This paper deeply interprets the connotation and significance of ideological and political education in courses and explores the significant value of integrating ideological and political elements into high-school English classrooms. Meanwhile, combined with relevant theories, it actively explores how to organically integrate English subject knowledge and ideological and political elements into the entire teaching process in practice. Taking the article “Finding a Balance: My Tai Chi Experience” from Unit 2 of the compulsory high-school English textbook Volume 2 as an example, referring to the concept of English learning activities, this paper starts from aspects such as pre-class preparation and in-class activity design to ingeniously design relevant activities. As a result, the integration of ideological and political elements can achieve a subtle and imperceptible yet nourishing effect.
