Strategic directions of development of tourism management in the context of transformation of the security system and insurance

The purpose of the article is to analyze current trends and directions of development of tourism management in a competitive environment, and also to determine the effectiveness of strategies that can help tourism enterprises remain competitive in the current conditions of war and global turmoil. The methodology is based on the principles of systematicity and scientificity. The following methods were used: the method of comparison, the method of analysis and synthesis of information, as well as the method of theoretical generalization. Scientific novelty. The scientific study focuses on the strategic directions of management development, analysis of the factors of influence and forecasting the prospects for its development, and examines the features of the current state of tourism security in Ukraine. The main trends in the development of tourism insurance in relation to the development of tourism as an industry are analyzed. The main factors of reducing the financial efficiency of insurance services in the field of tourism related to the complex nature of insurance services, accumulation and concentration of risks are presented. The following is identified as a priority area for the development of foreign tourism insurance. Research results. Since 2014, Ukraine’s tourism industry has undergone significant changes due to political instability, economic crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, and full-scale invasion. At the same time, along with the intensive development and territorial expansion of tourism activities, the problems of hospitality security in tourism – socio-economic, political and legal, military and political, environmental, socio-cultural, etc. – are becoming increasingly relevant. But looking at the security side, the rather intensive development of tourism and hospitality in our country and in the world in recent years has been taking place against the backdrop of increased international terrorism, military conflicts, and a general deterioration in the criminal situation. This has led to the transformation of approaches to the organization and security of leisure activities.
