Smart Farming - Using Weather Data to Support Farmers in Tilling Their Fields Most Efficiently

Efficient farming in order to optimize the outcome of the crop is the goal of each farmer. Due to climate changes and often unforeseen weather disasters, the process of tilling a field has recently added new challenges to farming, which can be supported by A.I. technology. The main goal of our “Smart Farming Tool” is to create a user-friendly tool where farmers can upload map screenshots of their fields and turn them into actionable plans. The process of using the tool is straightforward: farmers upload their field maps, designate fields on the map, and, if necessary, zoom the map in for area creation precision, and mark seed types with flags. Subsequently, the tool's algorithm generates customized schedules for various events like fertilization or harvesting. What makes this tool more unique is its ability to update event schedules based on the current weather, ensuring optimal outcomes for every farming stage. This solution aims at a better risk management with the help of auto-updated schedules based on the weather and also at an overall more efficient schedule planning with several automatic schedule handlers that can be modified by the farmer.
