An Integrated Blockchain-Based Digital Twin Platform for Safety and Security in High-Risk Industries
This paper introduces the concept of an integrated blockchain-based digital twin platform designed to enhance safety and security in high-risk industries. In response to the critical challenges facing sectors such as energy, manufacturing, and transportation, this innovative platform combines digital twin technology and blockchain to create a comprehensive solution. Digital twin technology enables real-time virtual representations of physical assets, providing a dynamic and detailed understanding of their operational status. By integrating blockchain, the platform ensures the integrity and immutability of the data generated by digital twins. This, in turn, enhances transparency, accountability, and traceability across the entire lifecycle of highrisk industrial processes. Smart contracts facilitate automated, secure, and tamper-resistant execution of safety protocols and compliance measures. The decentralized nature of the platform mitigates single point of failure and unauthorized access, fortifying safety measures in critical infrastructures. This research presents a forward-looking approach to addressing safety and security concerns in high-risk industries by leveraging the synergies of blockchain and digital twin technologies.
