Optimal Charging Guidance Strategy for Electric Vehicle Relying on User Satisfaction

The increasing number of electric vehicles is putting additional strain on charging station services, which in turn affects users' charging times and costs. To enhance the efficiency of these services and boost user satisfaction at charging stations, a strategy for guiding charging based on user contentment has been developed. Initially, the sequence for directing electric vehicles to charge is established using proximity guidance principles to ensure equitable access. Next, a relationship is formulated between users' perceived waiting time and economic loss versus their actual experiences regarding waiting times and costs; this helps identify factors influencing user satisfaction related to time and expenses, leading to the creation of an evaluation model for user satisfaction. Finally, through a case study example, we illustrate the fundamental features of this proposed approach while confirming its validity and practicality. Results from case analysis indicate that in contrast to the proximity guidance strategy, the user satisfaction is enhanced by 79.9% with the proposed plan.
