Low-Carbon Economic Dispatch for Integrated Energy Systems Incorporating Renewable Energy Accommodation
With the rapid advancement of renewable energy technologies and heightened awareness of environmental concerns, there has been a growing shift toward developing clean energy solutions while advancing the sustainability of energy resources. The operational flexibility inherent in integrated energy systems simultaneously introduces technical complexities and strategic advantages for optimizing renewable energy integration while accelerating the low-carbon operation of the integrated energy systems. This study develops a novel integrated energy system optimization framework with carbon constraints, integrating energy coupling devices and carbon capture and storage equipment. Integrating carbon emission trading mechanism, the model maximizes energy efficiency while effectively controlling the carbon emissions within the integrated energy systems to realize the dual benefits of economy and environment. Ultimately, the case studies demonstrate the techno-economic feasibility, establishing a novel methodological framework for the low-carbon economic dispatch of integrated energy systems.
