Evaluating and Predicting UAM Demand in the Atlanta Metro Region: Operational Factors and Potential Implementation
Several operational factors can influence the demand for Urban Air Mobility (UAM) services in specific regions. This paper evaluates the demand for UAM services in the Atlanta Metro region, considering operational factors such as population size, worker population estimates, travel flow, ground traffic congestion, median income, UAM service affordability, distance between cities, and existing ground infrastructures. The aim is to identify promising counties and cities for the implementation of UAM services. Additionally, a forecast of UAM passenger volume is provided for specific counties based on data related to these operational factors.
