Efficiency Analysis of LLC Resonant Converter With 7kW & 10 kW Loads For 3 Phase Distribution Using Transient, Power and Monte Carlo Methods: A Simulation-Based Approach
A three-phase interleaved LLC resonant converter utilizing a voltage source converter has been used to increase the power continuity and conversion efficiency of the DC distribution system. In this paper, we present a comparative analysis of a dedicated LLC resonant converter design using two topologies that will be capable of handling minimum power requirements of 7 Kw and 10 Kw. We take into account the key performance metrics such as output voltage, initial load current, power dissipation, and efficiency. In terms of Flyback topology, 48.04 V is the output voltage, and 145.83 A initial load current where power dissipation is 2.477 kW and get an efficiency of $73.88 \%$. LLC resonant converter is advantageous due to its high efficiency, high power density, and low cost. Similarly, the 10 kW Flyback system showed a lower efficiency of $66.72 \%$ with a power dissipation of 4.937 kW and an output voltage of 47.51 V. On the other hand, the PFC LLC topology with the $7-\mathrm{kW}$ system achieved an output voltage of 47.72 V, power dissipation of 2.222 kW, and an efficiency of $75.85 \%$. Consequently, 10 kW showed $79.53 \%$ efficiency and 2.542 kW power dissipation. These results highlight the advantages of the PFC LLC topology in terms of efficiency and power management, particularly for higher power applications, while the Flyback topology presents a viable option for lower power needs with moderate efficiency.
