Planning Method for Park Integrated Energy Systems Considering Low-Carbon Retrofitting
Due to suboptimal configurations of equipment types and capacities in the initial planning stage, some existing Park Integrated Energy Systems (PIES) are limited in fully achieving their operational efficiency. This paper proposes a PIES planning method that considers low-carbon retrofitting, focusing on the expansion of existing equipment and the addition of carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) devices to enhance the system's low-carbon profile. An optimization model for planning is established, aiming to minimize the sum of the equivalent annual investment cost, operational cost, maintenance cost, and carbon trading cost, while taking operational constraints into account. Simulations validate the effectiveness of this retrofitting method in improving the low-carbon performance of PIES without increasing the total cost.
